Ellen Ercolini, Business Coach

How I got my first 3 customers and the steps for you to do the same.

Ellen Ercolini

Business Coach

When I first started, I worked mostly with friends, for free. Which is not actually a businesses! When I decided to start charging for my services, which up until now were gratis, I emailed them, letting them know that I was 'leveling up my life, which includes not giving away my shiz for free anymore' and asking them if they knew anyone in their circles they could introduce me to, since they knew how great my work is.

I also started calling myself a Business Coach and Writer to anyone and everyone who asked me 'what I did' - it was mega helpful getting other people to understand what I do and I took myself way more seriously when I was using the title I was going to have.

Both those things worked! Presenting myself professionally and asking for high quality introductions worked. I found myself working with awesome creative business owners to help them make more money, and they were making more money! It was a total win-win.

The Tip

To whet your beak

You just have to put your work out there and claim your brilliance at it. Step up to the plate and keep swinging till you make contact. The only person that holds you back or limits you, is you.
